What we collect
If you use the diagnostic tool we record your answers and a random session identifier. If you submit a contact request we also record the name, telephone number and any email address you provide, together with the time, the page you were on, the campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, and a one-way hash of your IP address. We do not store your IP address in readable form.
Why we collect it
Diagnostic answers are used to produce your result and to match you with an appropriate provider. Contact details are used to pass your request to the provider you are matched with. Attribution data is used to understand which sources bring people to the site. A hashed IP address is used to detect abuse and duplicate submissions.
Who we share it with
When you submit a contact request, the information you provided and the relevant parts of your diagnostic answers are sent to the provider you are matched with, or to an advertising network that routes it to a provider. That is the purpose of the request. We do not sell your information for unrelated marketing.
Cookies and analytics
We set first-party cookies to remember your session and the campaign you arrived through. Marketing and analytics tags load only after you have given consent, and no third-party marketing tag is loaded before that. Declining consent does not prevent you using any part of the site.
How long we keep it
Personal information attached to a request is retained for the period set in our data retention configuration, after which it is automatically redacted from our records while anonymous statistics are kept. Event records are retained separately on their own schedule.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@floodfirstaid.com. We will verify your request before acting on it. Note that once a request has been passed to a provider, that provider holds its own copy under its own policy, and you will need to contact them separately.
