Providers are independent
Every service provider reachable through this site is an independent business. They are not our employees, agents, partners or subcontractors. Flood First Aid does not perform, supervise, direct or warrant any work. Any contract for work is between you and the provider.
What "verified" means here
Where we mark a provider as verified, it means that at the date shown we confirmed the specific items listed on their profile — which may include business registration, a licence number, or a stated service area. It is a record of a check we performed on a date, not an endorsement, not an assurance of work quality, and not a statement about their status today. Registrations and licences can lapse. Verify anything that matters to you directly before hiring.
Where no provider is listed
If we have not verified a provider for your ZIP code and service, the page will say "No verified provider currently listed" rather than showing you somebody else. That message means what it says: it is not a sign the site is broken, and we would rather show it than route you to a company we cannot stand behind.
Your own due diligence
Before hiring anyone, confirm their licence or registration with the relevant New Jersey authority, ask for proof of liability insurance, get the scope of work in writing, and read anything you are asked to sign — particularly any document assigning your insurance benefits. We cannot do this for you and we do not claim to have done it for you.
Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, work quality, pricing, conduct or business practices of any provider, nor for any loss arising from your reliance on general guidance published here. Our liability, if any, is limited as set out in our terms of use.
